Set up my accountTeladoc provides you with 24/7 access to licensed doctors, psychologists and therapists by phone, video or web from wherever you are to diagnose, treat and prescribe medicine if needed for a wide range of medical conditions. General medicine services are available 24/7. This means you can see a doctor for non-emergency care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Members can speak with a licensed Mental health provider seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time for the member. Visits are requested by the member and are scheduled in advance; please note that on-demand mental healthcare is not offered.
Mental health providers may take up to three business days to respond to a member’s request for an appointment.
Teladoc can resolve a wide range of non-emergency healthcare issues, including sinus problems, allergies, flu symptoms and much more. Depending on your plan, this could also include a range of mental health services that include access to psychiatrists, psychologists and licensed therapists. Teladoc provides virtual care access to licensed clinicians in the setting of your choice, without the need to drive to a physical location.

You can set up your account online, by downloading the Teladoc app or by giving us a call at 1-888-983-5236.
Once your account is set up, you can request an appointment with a doctor by phone, Teladoc.ca or the Teladoc app on your mobile device, and your appointment will take place either by phone or videoconference, the choice is yours.
To schedule a visit, log in to your account on the Teladoc member portal or the Teladoc mobile app and click the “Request a Visit” button. We will ask for you to fill out some quick information, including your reason for the visit, preferred time of the visit (within an hour or scheduled), as well as your desired method of visit (phone or video). If located in Quebec, your visit method will automatically be video. The appointment can be booked up to 48 hours in advance between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.
There are no visit fees when using Teladoc.
Family and extended family access varies depending on your specific Teladoc plan. Most plan designs allow you to use the Teladoc service for you, your spouse, your dependents and in some cases extended family like parents.
Teladoc physicians cover a broad range of clinical specialties. Our physicians are licensed in Canada in specialties that include internal medicine, paediatrics, emergency care and family medicine. Mental health services include access to therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists who are licensed to practice in one or more provinces.
Yes, when medically appropriate, doctors can prescribe medications.
Yes. You can use Teladoc when visiting the United States. Members can log in via the web, the Teladoc Canada app or calling 1-800-835-2362. Members are prompted to fill in their medical information the first time that service is accessed in the U.S., even if they have already registered and completed this information in Canada. Members will be connected with one of our U.S. providers in the state that the member is currently visiting. If a doctor prescribes a medication while you are visiting the United States, please consult your travel coverage provider prior to filling the prescription.
